Questionnaire Development

Phase 1 of the PDP observed a gap between the need for postdoc data and the scope of current SRS surveys.

In Phase 2, these data needs informed the creation of a supplemental postdoc questionnaire. The instrument is evolving through a cyclical process of testing and review using qualitative and quantitative methods. The PDP consulted a variety of expert reviewers, including:

  • SRS methodologists
  • Researchers studying postdocs
  • Administrators
  • Professional associations across several disciplines
  • Advocate groups for postdocs
  • Survey methodologists
